A Note to Our Members

Dear Members,

What a year last year was! Everyone throughout the world has been impacted by the global pandemic in so many ways. For us, this impact was a total loss of our ability to host and perform shows for our community. Creativity and art are so important as we come into a new year and we are focusing 2021 on lifting spirits and uniting as a community to help each other through these difficult times.

Restrictions and uncertainty throughout 2020 meant that we were forced to cancel almost all of our events for the year. This meant that our loyal members were unable to attend performances and make the most of their membership. As such, the decision has been made that any memberships that were paid for last year will be rolled over to 2021. This means that if you paid your 2020 membership, you will not have to pay again this year. For us, this was the only logical option. Our members are so important to us and we value each and every one of you, and hope that this year we can make up for our absence last year!

With restrictions easing, we are heading into 2021 with great optimism for the year ahead. Here at MRAC, we already have several exciting projects in the works, including touring shows, workshops, collaborations and local performances. Stay tuned for details and dates to come!

I would also like to thank our committee and all volunteers for 2019/2020, and welcome our new and returning committee members:

President: Sally Presnell

Vice-President: Diane Gray

Secretary: Owen Gray

Treasurer: Tonita Taylor

Thank you to everyone who has supported the Arts Council in the past, both by volunteering and by attending our shows.

We are thinking of you all at this time, and hope that we will be able to meet up again for some more exciting, enriching, and entertaining performances in 2021!

Sincerely,

Sally Presnell

President
